Government Polytechnic Kanpur is one of the government colleges of Uttar Pradesh. It is under the Government of Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 1962. When it was started, there are only two engineering branches available in its college. It is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education. It offers Courses in Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry and Textile Design.
