FICCI Textiles Committee works towards the holistic development of textiles industry in India. The objective of the committee is to work along with various stakeholders representing a wide variety of sub-sectors of textiles industry like cotton, man-made, wool, silk, handlooms, Jute, handicrafts, apparels, and technical textiles, etc. Apart from major policy issues such as high cost of power and logistics, groundwater extraction and availability of raw materials, FICCI has been actively involved with Government regarding various issues related to GST and Foreign Trade Policy for the sector. The Committee has been working closely with states too to help them out with their textiles policy particularly in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
